Tax Season 2012 FAQS: Entry 4
When filing my return electronically, my tax preparer or software package does not provide me with a date that I can expect my refund. How can I get an approximate date as to when I can expect my refund?
You may go to the IRS website, www.irs.gov, and download the 2012 IRS E-file Refund Cycle Chart, available in both English and Spanish.
Note the dates and the timeframe that your electronically submitted return should be accepted by the IRS to be available by the dates shown, in addition to the information in blue.
For those super early filers, if your return is accepted by the 17th or 18th of January, if there are no IRS systemic issues or account issues on your part, the first checks are scheduled to be deposited by January 25, 2012.
