If you claimed

exempt from federal income tax withholding

in 2011, you will need to file a new W-4 form with your employer by today in order to be exempt for the current year.

Obtain a copy of the form here:

If you have not received your W-2 form from your employer, today’s is the first day to contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 from 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday local time to make a W-2 complaint.
